Love & Marriage pt. 3

OH MY GOSH!  Time has flown by. Let's see there's less than 27 days left until I become Mrs. Moore and a whole lot that's going on.

Invites are out rsvp's are coming in.
Gifts are coming in and thank you's are being sent out. Finalizing everything and working on the last details. Y'all this wedding is coming together and fast!

My gown is being altered. We've finalized our menu. Met with our officiant. Setup a playlist of music. Met with our wedding coordinator. Had my makeup and hair trial. I've had my bachelorette party. Did I mention our engagement pictures are featured in a magazine?!?

There have been a few stressful moments, but I didn't lose sleep over them. Actually I would love to plan weddings as a living....

Love & Marriage Pt. 2

Less than 4 months until we say "I Do". We have crossed a few more things whole lot off of our "To Do" list in the last 3 months.

  • We ordered our invites through Feel Good Wedding Invites (We just got the package today! YEEE!!!)
  • The Bridesmaid's dresses are ordered and being custom made for each of the girls.
  • The Groomsmen's suits have been selected and ordered
    • Now to find shoes for both bridesmaids and groomsmen
  • We have the florist booked!
  • We took our engagement pictures! (Stephen and I had so much fun and we love Kori & Jared Photography!
  • We have settled on our table centerpieces! (This has been the hardest of all the planning! I had too many ideas thanks to Pinterest and my mom and my sister.... Seriously though too many ideas, and I reigned it all in and decided on 3 different centerpieces!
  • We chose our cake  donuts (Stephen and I have a friend who owns a donut shop and makes the best donuts in the Valley)
  • The ring bearers and flower girls have their shirts and dresses.
  • We registered at Bed Bath & Beyond and at Crate & Barrel
  • I had my first Bridal Shower on May 10th (I am overwhelmed by the love and support of both Stephen and my family and friends)
  • We have been making Strawberry Jam as our favors
  • I have been doing a lot of DIY projects for the centerpieces and some other details.

I'm positive that there's more that has been accomplished in the last 3 months.

Thanks for your support!

Until next time :)

Love and Marriage

Holy smokes! I'm getting MARRIED!!! How did I forget to post about it!?!? Well, planning for the big day is completely underway. Stephen proposed while we were in Disneyland in January and We both couldn't be any happier about beginning our lives as Mr. & Mrs. Moore.

In a month and a half we have:

  • Set the date
  • Found a Venue
  • Selected our wedding colors & theme
  • Have a Caterer
  • Selected a Photographer
  • Bought my wedding dress
  • Asked our Bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls, & ring bearers

I'll start with the date. When Stephen proposed the first question that we asked each other was "when is this going to happen"? It's also the first question everybody asks you after you get engaged. We both love Spring and Autumn, we began talking about how soon (this year) or how long (next year) we would want to have our wedding. Being that we got engaged in january this spring was way too soon, and next spring was too far away. We settled on a date this fall, September 27th to be exact :)

Our venue is not to far from our small town deep in the heart of the central valley at a family friends barn.  We are having both ceremony and reception on location.

Don't mind my sister or the boat ;)

Our colors are mint green and coral. Think a little bit more green that teal. This basically what I'm going with color wise.

Because of the barn venue, it will be rustic (country) romantic (vintage) with a bit of DIY.
Think along the lines of burlap and lace. :)

Our caterer is actually my Aunt and Uncle. I only agreed to them catering so long as they can enjoy themselves at the wedding.

We have a photographer. A husband and wife duo, whom my sister is friends with. Stephen and I are very happy with who we chose for our photographer. (We will be taking our engagement photos in 2 weeks)

Did I mention the wedding dress? AHHHH!!!! I wish I could wear it all the time! It is beautiful! My sister-in-law made a couple dress appointments for me on Valentines day. My Mom, Courtney, Paige, Colleen, and Titus were there to help with the deciding factor. I tried on four dresses total and fell in absolute love with the third dress. I would show a picture of it, but you will just have to wait until the wedding :)

Our bridal party is official! We both will have 5 of our closest friends and family standing by us as we say "I do".  I will have my 3 siblings (yes, that includes my brother) and my 2 best friends since elementary school. Stephen will have 1 of his brothers and 4 of his closest friends. Our flower girls are 4 of the little girls that I nanny and the ring bearers are the 3 little boys that I nanny. All 7 of these kiddos are excited for Stephen to marry me and make me a "Princess".

As of right now that is what is set in stone planning wise. There is still a lot that needs to be done, but I still have 7 months to go!

I am thoroughly enjoying planning my wedding. There have been a couple "stressful" moments. Nothing to go all bridezilla about.

Until next time :)

C25k pt.3

"You can feel sore tomorrow or you can feel sorry tomorrow. YOU CHOOSE." -Nike Advertisement

Courtney and I were supposed to workout yesterday, but I had something come up so we postponed until today... I'm not gonna lie yesterday was horrible! It was just a bad day and ended with me getting an Oreo McFlurry... it didn't "help" my day get any better, but it tasted so good! Today I got to relax which almost never happens! It was also time for me to weigh in. I hope that McFlurry wasn't a bad idea!!!

Starting weight: 170 pounds
Start Date: Jan. 7, 2013
Goal weight: 135 pounds
Estimated Goal Reached Date: Dec. 7, 2013

Today's Weigh-In: 168.2 pounds

I weighed in 2 pounds down from last week!

Today during C25K training I really realized that I am not the same as when I was in high school running long distance for track and field! That girl is hiding somewhere deep inside of me, hopefully she'll be making an appearance sometime in the near future. I used to run a 6:25min mile, now I can't run a full mile without feeling like I'm going to die! I realize that I had to train and practice before I could run a mile like that which is why I've set realistic goals and workout schedule for myself.

Week 2 Day 1: Brisk 5 minute warmup walk. Then alternate 90 seconds of jogging and 2 minutes of walking for a total of 20 minutes.

Courtney and I also ended our workout with some ab exercises... I'm already sore!

Do you have a diet plan that you follow? while you exercise? care to share?

C25k pt.2

Day three of my training for a 5k. I'm not sore, but that might not be a good thing.
The way that this program works is on a day off a day... So maybe I should be doing strength training on the "off days"?

Week 1 day 3 : Brisk 5 minute warmup walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes.

Couch to 5k

It's a new year and the start of a new me. I'm going balls to the wall honest with you all; I am 5'2" and weigh 170lbs. I need some accountability so I thought why not start here on my little blog. The challenge is to run a full 5k without stopping to walk. It doesn't seem like much, but this is the tip of the iceberg for my goals for the year. On March 16th I will be running Gnarly neon- color run- 5k with my sister and some friends in Modesto, CA and another race with my sister on April 7th Color Me Rad- color run in Fresno, CA. I have a couple other races in mind like in June The Udder Run which is a 5k in my hometown, July Wharf to Wharf a 10k in Santa Cruz, October Nike Women's half marathon in San Francisco, and January Disney's tinker bell run half marathon in Anaheim in Disneyland!

I love having a smart phone with the assortment of apps to help train you. My sister and I are using C25k (couch to 5k). We are training by running intervals every other day. We started on Wednesday and have completed 2 workouts.

Week 1 day 1: Brisk 5 minute warmup walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes.

Week 1 day 2: Brisk 5 minute warmup walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes.

We also plan to do more muscle building workouts along with running. I plan on posting my weight weekly and our workouts every other day. You can follow both of our progress on Instagram @kmontague88 and @camontague

We're sexy and we know it!
